Fuego inspires 11 year old to take action

Colleen and her family love volunteering at Best Friends. In fact, on one visit they decided to have a "doggie" sleepover. Best Friends allows certain dogs to go on "sleepovers" with volunteers to practice being a family dog. The dogs get to ride in a car, stay in a hotel, walk around town and spend time with a family. Colleen and her family chose to have a puppy named Fuego on a sleepover. One night with Fuego sealed the deal and the next thing you know Fuego had found a new home with Colleen and her family. Colleen loves Fuego so much that she can't stand to think of all the dogs out there that are homeless. 

What is an eleven year old to do? 

Colleen decided to hold a fundraiser to help animals like Fuego find caring and loving homes. We look forward to an update from Colleen and Fuego and we wish them the best!
