Before she became the beloved dog of Jim and Marcia Hock, Rogue belonged to Jim’s son Ben. Happy times spent with Ben often included Rogue, and the family shared a strong bond. When Ben tragically passed away, there was no question where Rogue would go. She went to live with Marcia and Jim, and the three became inseparable.
Rogue gave Jim and Marcia an enormous amount of love and a living connection to Ben. She was a cuddler and an excellent travel companion, accompanying Jim and Marcia on adventures in a conversion van they chose specifically for her comfort.
Rogue had a playful side, and her favorite game became a bedtime ritual. Jim would toss some treats around the room to hide them, and she’d go running off to find them.
Rogue sometimes looked big and intimidating to strangers. But those who knew and adored her cherish the memory of her sweet nature, gentle soul and deep love.
