Help save homeless pets in AL
Shelters near you need help to save more lives. Every day, dogs and cats are killed in animal shelters across Alabama simply because they don’t have a place to call home. Together, with your help, we’re changing that.
Best Friends is working with animal welfare organizations and stakeholders statewide to save every pet who can be saved and reach no-kill through Alabama in 2025. Your local shelter is counting on your help. Now is the time to get involved and make a lifesaving difference.
Best Friends steps up for at-risk pets in Alabama
Best Friends has funded programs around the state with Rachael Ray Save Them All Grants. We are partnering with Montgomery Humane Society to create a robust return-to-field (RTF) cat program in the county, including a satellite foster program and monthly transports. We are also working closely with Safe Harbor Animal Coalition to increase transports and rescue placement for at-risk animals.
