What programs and projects do you volunteer with at Best Friends LA?
I primarily volunteer in the Kitten Neonate Nursery, this is my third year doing this. I have done a few other things, mobiles, Strut your Mutt, but the kittens are my first love.
Why do you choose to volunteer with Best Friends LA?
Why do you choose to volunteer with Best Friends LA?
I have visited and volunteered at the Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah twice. When I found out Best Friends was opening a shelter in my area I was thrilled and signed up right away.
How long have you been a Best Friends LA volunteer?
Since the shelter opened in January 2012.

What type of fun stuff do you do when you're not volunteering?
I am retired. I also volunteer as an usher at the Pasadena Playhouse and the Alex Theatre in Glendale. And I volunteer with a Community Outreach program for the Homeless and others in need of food and clothing.
Do you have a favorite story to share about an experience volunteering with Best Friends LA?
Every day with the kittens is special.
Do you have any pets?
Our almost 14 year old Pit Bull just passed. She was our second Pit Bull and I love the breed but they are a bit too much dog for me now. I am looking for a small dog. I have signed up to foster but most of the dogs are large dogs which are more than I can handle right now. So, I’m still looking!
