Best Friends Animal Society Partners with Charitable Adult Rides and Services for a Car Donation Program to Help Homeless Pets
Program Allows Contributors to Donate Cars and Other Vehicles to Support Best Friends' Mission
KANAB, UT (February 10, 2016) -- Best Friends Animal Society, the only national animal welfare organization focused on ending the killing of animals in shelters in the U.S., has partnered with Charitable Adult Rides and Services (CARS), a nonprofit group that allows people to donate a car, truck, boat, or other vehicles for charity.
CARS will sell donated vehicles, with resulting funds donated back to Best Friends on the contributor's behalf. After a car is donated, donors receive a receipt for a charity tax deduction. Best Friends will use donations from CARS to help promote the lifesaving work it does on behalf of homeless pets around the country and further its mission to Save Them All.
"We are delighted to partner with CARS to receive vehicle donations that will be used to save animals' lives," said Julie Castle, chief development and marketing officer, Best Friends Animal Society. "CARS is well known for its dedication to support as well as its high rate of donor satisfaction. "
CARS assists contributors throughout the entire giving process by arranging free pick up of your vehicle based on the donor's schedule, which makes vehicle donations quick and easy. Donors will receive a tax- deductible donation receipt for the sale value of the vehicle, and are urged to consult a tax preparer for advice on receiving a tax break for the donation.
